I adore baking. Usually its really sweet cakes. While every one has been making new years resolutions to get healthy one of my many was to bake more. This cake was my first attempt for the year, a ginger cream cake. It was for my picnic which I posted a few days ago. It ended up looking like a big cookie and the only comment I got on it was it tasted too healthy.

I got the recipe from a book I was gifted for my birthday last year. The Golden book of Patisserie.

I plan on baking at least once a week. Who wouldn't enjoy that.

p.s I got the cup cake measuring cups for christmas and I couldn't wait to use them.
